Ute Bugnion

Ute Bugnion studied law at the Universities of Hamburg and Zurich, as well as at the University of Geneva where she obtained a diploma of advanced legal studies (D.E.S.) and a doctorate in law.

She was during many years CEO of an international patent and trademark agent and practised law in various parts of the country as a partner in a Zurich law firm specialised in banking, commercial and industrial matters, including intellectual property. She further practised intellectual property as a partner in a major business law firm in Geneva, currently known as Schellenberg Wittmer, and thereafter in her own law firm for her Swiss and international clientele.

In the last decade, Ute Bugnion has focused on commercial mediation. She is on the panel of mediators at institutions such as CSMC, CEDR, INTA and WIPO, and was the Chairman of the Swiss Chamber of Commercial Mediation.
